Kawara-Machi Area
Going along the Nagara River to the southwest from the Gifu City Cormorant Fishing Observation Boat Office is what is popularly referred to as the Kawara-Machi Area, consisting of Minatomachi, Tamai-machi, and Motohama-machi, where you will find streets lined with traditional Japanese houses with lattice doors.
The streets have been renovated in keeping with their historical ambience and are lined with modern restaurants and shops.
