Ishikiritsurugiya Jinja Shrine
This shrine is lovingly known as Stone Cutter by those who visit it.
The shrine enshrines Nigihayahi no Mikoto, and his child Umashimade no Mikoto.
Nigihayahi no Mikoto is the grandchild of Amaterasu Oomikami.
In front of the shrine, proudly grows Higashioka’s natural treasure: a camphor tree facing the heavens.
The tree is around 500 years old, and it continues watches over people from above.
