Shimoda Floating Aquarium
The “Shimoda Floating Aquarium” is an aquarium floating on the sea, something considered very rare worldwide.
There is an area called “Fureai no Umi” which uses natural coves in the facility to keep dolphins in an atmosphere close to their natural environment.
You can enjoy watching the dolphins swim comfortably.
This Aquarium also offers popular attractions allowing visitors to enjoy playing and swimming with dolphins. (Reservations are necessary in advance)
There is a display of sea creatures and fish with the theme of reproducing the sea of Izu.
In addition to the very famous dolphin shows, you can enjoy shows with sea lions, seals and penguins, as well as fish feeding shows.
These shows are performed many times a day.
