Mogami Park (The Ruins of Shinjo Castle)
Shinjo Castle was built by Masamori Tozawa, the founder of the Shinjo Domain.
Thus, it was the castle of the Tozawa clan for 243 years.
The castle was burnt down in the past, but you can see the remains of those days in various places.
Presently, the place has changed into a famous place for cherry blossoms.
In the spring, about 300 cherry trees there change colors, and the park is crowded with cherry-blossom viewers.
