Workshop Announcement: Katsuragi City to Present at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai!

ALL NARA HARMONY（感じる奈良展）

Experience the harmony of nature, history, and culture at ALL NARA HARMONY（感じる奈良展）, part of the Signature Pavilion “Dialogue Theater – A Sign of Life” （いのちのあかし） produced by filmmaker Naomi Kawase.
Co-created with Nara Prefecture and its 39 municipalities, the venue features exhibitions, performances, and workshops showcasing Nara’s unique charms, including presentations of its history and cultural assets. Highlights include the display and live performance of the Expo Piano used at Expo ’70, as well as local product exhibits and interactive events.

Dates and Venue

• September 12 (Fri) – 25 (Thu), 2025
  9:00 AM – 9:00 PM (Opening at 10:00 AM on the first day)
• Location: Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai — Signature Pavilion “Dialogue Theater – A Sign of Life” （いのちのあかし）, Forest Gathering Hall（森の集会所）
• Admission with Expo ticket required

Katsuragi City will join the pavilion on September 20 (Sat) and 21 (Sun) with a special booth and events!

Workshop: Tonton Sumo（トントン相撲） — September 20 (Sat)

A hands-on workshop featuring Tonton Sumo, a traditional Japanese tabletop game where paper rikishi (wrestlers) are placed on a small ring and made to move by tapping the surface.
Participants can color their own original paper wrestler and then compete with others — fun for children and adults alike!

Notes: Limited capacity; first-come, first-served. Participation tickets will be distributed at the workshop booth.

Session 1: 10:00 AM (participation tickets distributed from 9:00 AM)

Session 2: 3:00 PM (participation tickets distributed from 12:00 PM)
Duration: approx. 30–40 minutes

Booth Exhibition: Katsuragi, Birthplace of Sumo

As the birthplace of sumo, Katsuragi City will present exhibits related to the history and culture of this traditional Japanese sport.
