[Open to Professionals and Amateurs Alike] The 8th Taima no Sato Peony Festival Photo Contest

Every spring, the Taima no Sato Peony Festival brings beautiful seasonal color to Katsuragi City.

A photo contest will be held for photographs taken at Taima-dera Temple and Sekko-ji Temple, two flower temples where peonies bloom beautifully in spring.

Both professionals and amateurs are welcome to apply.

Whether you enjoy photography, love flowers, or would like to try entering a photo contest, we warmly welcome your participation.

We look forward to receiving many entries.

We hope you will capture a truly special shot, and we look forward to seeing your wonderful entries.

Theme
“Peonies and Chinese Peonies”

Entries must be photographs taken at Taima-dera Temple or Sekko-ji Temple during the Taima no Sato Peony Festival period
(April 13, 2026 to May 6, 2026)
and must include peony and/or Chinese peony flowers.

Only previously unpublished works will be accepted. However, works that have been made public without third-party evaluation may also be submitted.

Grand Prize
1 winner
Katsuragi City specialty products worth 10,000 yen and an original QUO Card worth 10,000 yen

Award of Excellence
2 winners
Katsuragi City specialty products worth 5,000 yen and an original QUO Card worth 5,000 yen

Special Prize
4 winners
An original QUO Card worth 5,000 yen

Original QUO Cards will be created using the winning entries.

Please attach the entry form to the back of your photograph and bring it to either of the following locations:

• Commerce and Tourism Promotion Division, Katsuragi City Hall
  (166 Kakinomoto / Weekdays, 8:30 AM – 5:15 PM)
• Katsuragi City Sumo Museum “Kehaya-za”
  (83-1 Taima / Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
