Katsuragi City to Participate in SUMO EXPO 2025 at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan
“SUMO Brings the World Together!”
The traditional Japanese sport of sumo is coming to Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
At SUMO EXPO 2025, cities and towns with strong ties to sumo from across Japan will gather to share and promote sumo culture. Katsuragi City will take part in the event with a variety of engaging programs, including:
･ Sumo experience activities
･ Live performances of Sumo Jinku (traditional sumo folk songs) by the Kehaya Sumo Jinku Group, established in Nara in 2005
･ Demonstrations by student sumo wrestlers
･ A special appearance by Katsuragi City’s official mascot, Renka-chan

Sumo Museum Kehayaza – Temporary Closure Notice
