Shirataki Park

Shirataki Park

Shirataki Park is located about a 5-minute walk from the south exit of Mishima Station.
It is a place for local people to relax while also allowing visitors to enjoy the "Water city Mishima".
"Shirataki" in Japanese means "White Waterfall"; because the spring water once flowed like a waterfall there long time ago, it was named "Shirataki Park".
In the park, you can see a number of molten rocks which flew out from Mt.Fuji after an eruption, and you can see melt water from Mt.Fuji well up in the summer.
Also, in the corner of the park there is an mechanical doll named "Megumi-no-Ko".
When someone approaches her, she speaks and automatically draws some water from the well.
It is safe to drink the water she draws, and you can even take it home if you bring a plastic bottle etc.
