Inamori local products: famous red bream and other special products
The Morning market opens in the Inatori fishing port every Saturday and Sunday.
You can purchase local fresh seafood and dried fish as well.
One of the specialties of this market is “Red bream Kamameshi” (700 yen).
“Kamameshi” means literally “kettle rice”.
It is a traditional Japanese rice dish cooked in an iron pot called a kama.
“Red bream Kamameshi” is very popular and it is fun for you to cook yourself. (Required time: about 20 minutes)
Since local red bream soup is free in the market, you can also enjoy it with the Kamameshi.
