Hayasaka Heights
Located in the western part of Iwaizumi Town, this gently sloping plateau stretches around the 916-meter-high Hayasaka Pass.
A carefully maintained walking trail certified as a “therapy road” leads through a broadleaf forest of beech and Japanese white birch, and alpine plants such as Japanese azalea bloom from spring to summer.
Nearby is the Hayasaka Heights Visitor Center, a rest house where visitors can take a break and enjoy a meal.
