Genpei Shirahata Bridge

Genpei Shirahata Bridge

The Genpei Shirahata Bridge over the Genbe River was a bridge that was counted as one of the "Sunzu (Shizuoka Prefecture) five-colored bridges" in the Edo period.
They are the Aoki Bridge and Aka Bridge in Mishima City, and the Kurose Bridge and Kisegawa Bridge in Numazu City.
There are many eel restaurants in Mishima city, and the long-established eel restaurant "Sakuraya" which is next to the bridge was founded in 1856.
