Mitsuishi jinja Shrine

It is said that the Mitsuishi jinja shrine have been founded when "Inari Gods*" were enshrined in three gigantic stones on the banks of the Genbe River.
It is said that when a big fire broke out in the Tenmei period (1781~1789) during the Edo era, the God of fire prevention was also enshrined at the Mitsuishi jinja Shrine.
On the south side of this Shrine, there is a stone bridge with two arches on the Genbe River, which was built in the Meiji Era.

* "Inari God" that is one of the principal God of Shinto is the Japanese God of foxes, agriculture and industry.
