The international BMX freestyle competition \u201cMynavi JapanCup Yokosuka 2026\u201d was held at Verny Park in Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture, from Thursday, June 4 to Sunday, June 7, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was organized by the Japan Freestyle BMX Federation (JFBF), co-hosted by Yokosuka City, sanctioned by the Japan Cycling Federation, and held as a UCI C1-category international competition. Leading riders from Japan and overseas gathered in Yokosuka, and a total of 32,407 visitors attended over the four-day period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rain on the final day, Sunday, June 7, led to the cancellation of several events, including the Men\u2019s and Women\u2019s Elite Park finals and the Men\u2019s Elite Flatland final. In accordance with the competition regulations, the qualifying results from the previous day determined the final rankings in these divisions. The Women\u2019s Elite Flatland final was held as scheduled during a break in the rain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Men\u2019s Elite Park<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A total of 18 riders, including riders from Taiwan and elsewhere overseas, took part in the Men\u2019s Elite Park division. The qualifying round was held in three groups. Rankings were determined by the average score of two runs, and the top 12 riders advanced to the final. As the final was canceled due to rain, the qualifying results became the final standings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arsenii Liubishkin took first place with 80.49 points, followed by Irek Rizaev with 77.66 points. Kaede Ozawa of Gifu Prefecture placed third with 73.34 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Women\u2019s Elite Park division featured seven riders: four from Japan and three from overseas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miharu Ozawa of Gifu Prefecture led the qualifying round with 72.56 points. Rena Shirai of Ibaraki Prefecture followed with 62.08 points, and Tomoka Okuzaki of Kyoto Prefecture placed third with 50.79 points. All four Japanese riders advanced to the final. As the final was canceled due to rain, the qualifying results became the final standings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Men\u2019s Elite Flatland division featured leading riders including Moto Sasaki of Chiba Prefecture, who holds the record for the most victories in official domestic competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yu Shoji of Chiba Prefecture led the qualifying round with 87.50 points. Moto Sasaki followed with 84.00 points, and Ren Oshima of Chiba Prefecture placed third with 83.17 points. Riders from Chiba Prefecture claimed all three podium positions. As the final was canceled due to rain, the qualifying results became the final standings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Women\u2019s Elite Flatland<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Women\u2019s Elite Flatland division was the only elite division in which the final was held as scheduled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final featured three riders: Chiaki Todaka of Fukuoka Prefecture, Karin Hommura of Tokyo, and Sona Yoshimura of Mie Prefecture. Todaka won the division with 86.33 points, securing her second consecutive victory at the Yokosuka event. Hommura placed second with 81.33 points, followed by Yoshimura in third place with 75.00 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
