Itsukushima Shissei (wetland) Park

The Wetland stretches on the river terrace of the Kuzu-gawa river, which flows through the town.
A torii gate standing on the center island belongs to Itsukushima Shrine, which is also known as “Benten-sama”that is a Japanese Buddhist goddess, and is loved by the local people.
There are a lot of wooden paths in the wetlands, and it is suitable for observing aquatic plants and waterfront organisms, such as kasasuge (Carex dispalata) and Japanese sweet flags.
Various birds visit the area due to its natural setting.
You can enjoy its shining waterfront views with beautiful cherry blossoms in spring.
