雲の上の図書館

This facility aims to be a "Lively & Exciting Library," a bridge that connects people, books, and culture.
Its remarkable wooden roof design is inspired by tree trunks and branches, and it makes the atmosphere like that of a forest with falling rays of the sun.
Kengo Kuma, who engaged in the design of the building, describes, "The forests of Yusuhara are the inspiration behind the design."
The first floor has a bouldering space and a baby-room, while the second floor has the likes of a communication lounge; it is a place which surpasses the stereotypical concept of libraries, encouraging each person to create their own way of enjoyment.
