Sarayama Park

Lying at the foot of Mt. Wakasugi, this park is filled with some 30,000 azaleas that bloom in spring in a riotous profusion.
You can also enjoy plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, hydrangeas, and autumn leaves in every season and, when you look down, you can see a panoramic view of Fukuoka City and Hakata Bay.
It is also used as a trailhead for Mt. Wakasugi and Mt. Takejo, and is perfect for walking in the forest for therapeutic purposes.
There is also a rock garden with boulders of natural peridotite piled up, and an exhibition of steam locomotives.
