Shinagawa Historical Museum

In the Shinagawa Historical Museum, you can learn about the history of Shinagawa from ancient times to the present day.
In addition to many seasonal plants and trees the garden features a traditional Japanese musical ornament, known as a “Suikinkutsu”.

Closed: Mondays and public holidays (if the Monday is a public holiday, the museum is closed the following day)

Transportation: A 15 minute walk from the Oimachi Station (JR, Tokyu, Rinkai Line)
Take the Tokyu bus bound for the Ikegami Station or Kamata Station, get off at the Kashima Shrine and walk 1 minute.
A 10 minute walk from the JR Omori Station (North Exit)
A 13 minute walk from the Keikyu Tachi Aikawa Station

Charge: General admission 100 yen (80 yen for groups of 20 or more)
Elementary or junior high school students: 50 yen (40 yen for groups of 20 or more)

※Elementary and junior high school students residing in Shinagawa-ku, adults aged 70 years or over, and people with disabilities: free entry
※Special exhibitions are charged separately.

Parking: Capacity only for 3 cars

※We ask for your cooperation by using public transport whenever possible.
※Parking for any purpose other than museum visits is strictly prohibited.
