Musashi Mitake Jinja Shrine
Musashi Mitake jinja Shrine is on the top of Mt. Mitake, at an altitude of 929 meters. Since old days, it has been a place used for mountain worship and pilgrimages for many people from all over the Kanto area.
It is also known that a wolf that was a servant dog to Yamato Takeru, a legendary hero in ancient Japanese history, is enshrined there, so quite a few people visit this shrine with their dogs.
