Kushikanzashi Museum

Kushikanzashi Museum mainly displays hair accessories used by Japanese women, which is a rare type of museum in Japan. Most of the approximately 4,000 items came from the collection of Chiyo Okazaki (deceased), a famous collector who engaged in collecting them for over 40 years.
Approximately 400 items are displayed regularly, and the exhibited items are rotated four times a year in accordance with the seasons.
Besides the combs and hair accessories, novelty items and costumes that beautifully adorned women from the Edo to Showa periods are also displayed.
