Gyokudo Art Museum

Gyokudo Art Museum was built to commemorate Gyokudo Kawai, the master of modern Japanese paintings, who used to live in Mitake, Ome City for about 10 years from 1944 until he died in 1957.
There are a variety of his works in the museum, ranging from a sketch he drew when he was 15 years old to a work painted in his later years when he was 84.
The exhibited items are rotated seven times a year, and works that commensurate with each season are displayed.
