Obara-jinja Shrine

The Obara-jinja Shrine was built in 852 and has been designated as a cultural asset by Kyoto Prefecture.
It has long been known as a sacred place for childbirth and is visited by worshippers from outside Fukuchiyama City to pray for safe delivery.

Transportation: (1) From Fukuchiyama Interchange on the Maizuru-Wakasa Expressway, take National Road No. 9 towards Sanwa Town (10 mins), and another 10 minutes on Prefectural Road 59.
(2) From the Kyotanbamizuho IC on the Kyoto Jukan Expressway, take National Route 173 in the direction of Ayabe (approx. 10 mins).
(3) From the JR Ayabe Station, take a city bus bound for Senzoku, about 15 minutes.
