Amajafubaru Observatory
Located at the highest point in the centre of Kouri Island, the Amajafubaru Rural Park offers spectacular 360° views.
The Tohmibansho communication facility was located here and used beacon fires to warn the Shuri Castle of the imminent arrival of Tangut and foreign ships.
Today, the park features a signpost of the site of the Tohmibansho, designated as a cultural asset by the village.
