Sawano Hospital Memorial Hall
The buildings were donated by the Sawano family who has played a great role in community medicine generation after generation as a hondoi (physician) in Fukuroi since the Edo period.
The house is comprised of buildings built in the late Edo period and the early Meiji period.
Tatami-laid beds and furniture used in those days are on display, and the buildings were used for the filming of the movie “Tamio-no-shiawase.”
