Locale Museum

Originally built in 1910 as the then Soja Police Station, it is the only existing Meiji era Western-style building in the city.
After the police station was relocated, it was used as a government building for a variety of groups and organizations, but since 1988 it has been the site of the Locale Museum, exhibiting precious cultural artifacts concerning aspects of the region's past, such as Soja's once prosperous 'Bitchu Baiyaku'.
