Scenic Spot at Gokei

This famous scenic valley is known for its autumn foliage.
Located in the upper reaches of the Makiya River, one of the Takahashi River's tributaries, the valley offers not only a picturesque view of autumn foliage, but also of spectacular granite cliffs and stone pillars, including Tianzhu Peak, which has characters meaning "heavenly pillar" carved into it. All of this and more make it a stunning sight all year round.
The natural beauty brought about by these features has led to the area being designated as a national scenic beauty spot.
