Bizen Osafune Japanese Sword Museum
This area includes a museum, a workplace, and a workshop specializing in swords, which is rare throughout Japan. In addition to seeing the sword displays, you can also observe craftsmen creating swords at close hand.
On the second Sunday of every month, traditional work is performed in which especially high quality steel called Tamahagane is pounded out. The sounds of the hammer and the flying sparks of steel are something you shouldn't miss!
