Minobusan Kuonji Temple

Minobusan Kuonji Temple is the head temple of the Nichiren Buddhism which is based on the teachings of the 13th-century Japanese Buddhist priest Nichiren (1222–1282).
After climbing a flight of 287 stone steps called “Bodaitei” starting from “the San-mon gate,” there are “the Okunoin-Shishinkaku” (a temple at the top of Mt. Minobu) and various temple lodgings (in Higashi-dani, Nishi-dani, and Naka-dani).
The beautiful scenery all year round can be enjoyed in Mt. Minobu in beautiful natural surroundings.
