Shorinji Temple is located on top of a small hill, and the view from its main gate encompasses Mt. Miwa and Nara Basin.
The Eleven-faced Kannon in this temple is a representative work of Japan’s history of sculpture-making and a National Treasure.
Shōrinji is also known as a temple for praying for safe childbirth.
