Bihoro Pass

From the Bihoro Pass Observation Deck, elevation 525m, you can look down over a magnificent panoramic view of Lake Kussharo, Japan's largest caldera lake; Mount Io, which is still smoking even today; and in the distance, the peaks of the Shiretoko Mountain Range and the Daisetsuzan Volcanic Group.
Bihoro Pass, praised by many as having some of the most beautiful scenery in the world, attracts over 700,000 tourists every year.
