Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route

The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route runs through the Northern Japan Alps, which rise as high as 3,000 meters above sea level.
It is one of the world’s few Alpine sightseeing routes.
From Oogizawa station (Omachi-city, Nagano) to Tateyama station (Tateyama-cho, Toyama), you can use a series of different types of transportation to easily cover a total length of 37.2 km, reaching a highest altitude of 2,450 meters while enjoying endless, stunning, natural scenery.
From April to late June at Murodo, which is the highest point of the route, you can visit a dynamic, twenty-meter-tall wall of snow.
