Nishinasanko Lakes (Three Lakes of Nishina)

“Nishinasanko” collectively refers to the three lakes: Kizakiko, Nakatsunako, and Aokiko (in the order of closeness to the town).
Kizakiko is used for various types of water sports, including standup paddle-boarding, windsurfing, canoeing, boating, and yachting.
The lakeside has camping grounds and places where you can go cycling or take long walks.
Nakatsunako is the smallest of three lakes, but it has the Kashimayari Ski Resort and many Japanese-style guesthouses around it.
The scenery reflected on the lake’s surface is beautiful, especially in spring, when Sargent’s cherry trees bloom.
Aokiko is one of the prefecture’s clearest lakes. It is blue, since it is deep and the water is clear.
It is popular for canoeing, standup paddle-boarding, and firefly-watching cruises in summer.
