The Sankebetsu Brown Bear Incident Restoration Ground is an area located 18km south of Kotanbetsu, where the actual site of the infamous brown bear incident has been restored.
Located deep in a mountainous forest area, the atmosphere on site is such that it feels like a brown bear could appear at any moment, making for a thrilling experience for visitors.
The grounds have no closing time, but visiting at night is dangerous and highly unadvised.
Additionally, the grounds are outside of mobile network signal range.
