Shitanoya Archaeological Site

The Shitanoya archaeological site is one of the largest large settlement sites in the southern Kanto region, dating from the Middle Jomon Period, 4 to 5 thousand years ago.
It was designated a National Historic Site in March 2015.
Today, part of the site is used as a park for recreation and relaxation.

Visitors can learn about the ruins and the Jomon period at the annual Jomon Forest Autumn Festival.
