Meotodaki Falls

These waterfalls are named after the legend of the tragic love between a samurai and a commoner girl.
They are located at the junction of the Odagawa River and the Haragawa irrigation canal, and the place where the commoner girl committed suicide was called the Medaki Falls while the place where the samurai succumbed to his fate was called the Odaki Falls, and the pair came to be called as the "Meotodaki Falls."
Nowadays, many people come here to pray for luck in love.
