Shiraidani Gorge

Shiraidani Gorge

Yoshino River is one of the 3 rivers which overflows its banks the most in Japan, along with Tone River and Chikugo River.
This gorge is situated at the source of this river.
Crystal clear water flows from this secluded valley in the heart of the Ishizuchi Mountains of Shikoku.
At the beginning of summer, you will see fresh verdure and green maple leaves which change colors in the autumn, allowing us to enjoy the different colors of the 4 seasons.
There are pathways along the valley, so women and children can also go hiking on the trail without worry.
There is also a camping site nearby which can be used for free, so you can enjoy Kochi's rich nature to your heart's content.
