Takato Castle Site Park

Takato Castle Site Park is often considered the best place in Japan and even the world to view cherry blossoms.
Endemic Takoto Higan cherry trees grow all over the park.
Their blossoms are slightly smaller and more reddish than those of the usual somei-yoshino cherry trees.
The park is also a beautiful place in autumn, with the leaves of about 250 maple trees turning fiery colors.
