Risho Gokokuji Temple

Thought to have been built by Gyoki in the Nara period under the order of Emperor Shomu, it is a temple with the characteristic red pillars.
The main temple building has been designated an important cultural asset, and the sedentary statue Dainichi Nyorai - the principal object of worship - is a prefectural designated cultural asset.
Also, the ochamori ceremony is held once every 2 years.
