Nanpian Kannonji Temple

The Nanpian Kannonji Temple is a Zen Buddhist temple located in the mountains.
The temple is known as the place where Hisako, the wife of Masanari Kusunoki, prayed for the repose of her family's soul after her husband Masanari and his son Masayuki were killed in Shijonawate.
In the precincts of the temple, there is the main hall, Nanpiaan, which was built in the early Taisho era, and a statue of the mother and child of Kusunoki.
In autumn, when the leaves change colour, the deciduous trees and the buildings create a unique scene, attracting many tourists and photographers.
