Kurosuke's House
Kurosuke’s House is the Totoro no Furusato Foundation’s base of activities to conserve the nature of Sayama Hills.
The house is surrounded by tea fields, and it has a stream, a bamboo forest, and a small grove in the back. At one end of its garden grow Camellia sasanqua and Camellia japonica.
There is also an Inari shrine, a storehouse, and a well; giving the place the feel and look of an old farmhouse.
A panel introducing the Foundation’s activities is displayed at the storehouse.
The main house, the storehouse, and the tea factory have been nationally registered as a tangible cultural asset.
