Port of Humanity Tsuruga Museum

Tsuruga. The only port of entry for Polish orphans brought to Japan in the 1920s, and for Jewish refugees in 1940s carrying diplomat Chiune Sugihara's life-saving visas.
The Port of Humanity Tsuruga Museum, built to imitate the architecture of the time, tells the story of these orphans and refugees and how they came to Japan, the people who saved them, and the people of Tsuruga who welcomed them.
