Tsuruga Municipal Museum
This municipal museum displays art collections related to the history and culture of Tsuruga.
The building was built in 1927 by a great local figure Soshichi Owada as the head office of the former Owada Bank.
With its luxurious design symbolizing the prosperity of Tsuruga Port in those times, the building itself has many highlights, such as the first-ever elevator built in Hokuriku, a marble counter, and a large vault.
