Kehi no Matsubara (Pine Tree Park)

As a place of a nationally designated scenic beauty that has an impressive contrast between white sand and the blue sky, Kehi no Matsubara stretches about one kilometer on the beach with an area of about 340,000 square meters.
Legend has it that the pine grove appeared overnight at the time of the Mongol invasion. It is one of the three most scenic pine groves in Japan, along with Miho no Matsubara (Shizuoka) and Niji no Matsubara (Saga).
It is an ideal place for you to take a walk amid a sea breeze. In summer, it attracts many visitors as a swimming beach.
