Befu Canyon
A canyon located at the source of the Monobe River.
From the promenade, you can enjoy the changing scenery of all four seasons.
The canyon is especially popular as a place to view the fall colors, the red and yellow leaves painting the mountainside to create a particularly lovely view.
Befukyo Onsen contains a room in which the Takushin Festival, one of the Izanagi-ryu ritual practices, is reproduced. Here, you can see members of the preservation association perform the Maikagura dance, or try on the costume and do the dance yourself.
