Oiso Joyama Park

Oiso Joyama Park is a prefectural park of Kanagawa Prefecture that has been built at the sites of the Former Mitsui Villa and the Former Residence of YOSHIDA Shigeru.
A Japanese-style teahouse, a folk museum, and other establishments stand apart from one another in a serene environment where chinquapin, evergreen oak, and zelkova trees grow.
Right next to the park is the garden of the Former Residence of YOSHIDA Shigeru, which was one of the first gardens blending modernism into the traditional Japanese style.
From places such as the park’s observation area and an elevated part of the garden of the Former Residence of YOSHIDA Shigeru, there are views encompassing Sagami Bay, the Izu Peninsula, the Hakone Mountains, and Mount Fuji.
Jozan-an, a teahouse inspired by the National Treasure teahouse Joan, serves matcha green tea in a traditional style.
The fresh verdure and the red maple leaves are lit up in spring and autumn respectively, creating a dreamy atmosphere at night.
