Rokusyo jinja Shrine

Rokusyo-jinja Shrine is the Sagami-no-kuni so-ja*, and it is dedicated to Yanagida Daimyojin.
The large torii gate of this shrine faces National Highway 1.
At the Kounomachi festival, held every year on May 5th, mikoshi palanquins gather here from Samukawa-jinja Shrine (Samukawa-cho), Kawawa-jinja Shrine (Ninomiya-machi), Hibita-jinja Shrine (Isehara city), and Sakitori-jinja Shrine/Hiratsuka Hachimangu (Hiratsuka city).
The shrine worships the deities Kushinadahime-no-mikoto, Susano’o-no-mikoto, and Okuninushi-no-mikoto.
*A “so-ja” is a shrine worshipping multiple deities (usually of shrines of the same region—in this case, of the former Sagami-no-kuni region).
