Lake Ippekiko

Lake Ippekiko is a crater lake created by the volcano's eruption around 100,000 years ago.
The surrounding mountains, greenery, and the clouds in the sky are reflected on the lake, charming all visitors.
In particular, during the autumn leaves season, the lake is beautifully dyed with the vivid red color of the leaves.
You will also see rare plants at the lakeside, such as the Amsonia elliptical which only grows wild here in the prefecture.
As it shows a unique beauty every season, many tourists come here to enjoy the passing of the seasons.
