Izu Shaboten Zoo

Izu Shaboten Zoo

The Izu Shaboten Zoo became well known as the first zoo to have a capybara hot spring.
Other than adorable capybaras, you can also touch as well as feed animals like squirrel monkeys, peacocks, and more.
The Animal Boat Tours takes you on a boat to observe animals on the 8 islands of various sizes on the lake, a rare experience that is only available here in Japan.
The zoo has 1,500 types of cacti from all over the world, and they enchant visitors when their flowers bloom.
