Ikeda Museum of 20th Century Art

The Ikeda Museum of 20th Century Art was opened in 1975 on Keyaki Street along Lake Ippeki, Izu's eye.
It was the first art museum in Japan to feature 20th-century art.
The silver-colored cube building was designed by the sculptor, Bukichi Inoue, and the external wall of the exhibition room features the first stainless steel frame in Japan.
They have a collection of 1,400 pieces of art, mostly focused on the theme "Human."
The permanent exhibits include 80 masterpieces and major works by great artists of the 20th century such as Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Picasso, Joan Miro, Salvador Dali, Marc Chagall, and Andy Warholl.
They also have special exhibitions 4 times a year, which are also worth checking out.
