Former Hotta's House

The Former Hotta's House is said to have been built in the middle of the Edo period.
The Hotta family (or Riemon Hotta family) was founded by Yukimasa, the second son of Sadayuki, who was a priest at Tsushima-jinja Shrine.
The main building consists of three thick-walled storehouses and is also equipped with a tea house designed by Sosan Hisada.
You can also see some roof features such as ridgepole-supporting pillars and spikes.
This residence has been designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan.
