Metropolitan Musashi-Kokubunji Park

It was built on the site of a former JNR school and the site of houses for employees of the Ministry of Communications.
Centered on a grassy circular open space with a circumference of 500 meters, it is a spacious park with water features such as a pond and fountains as well as greenery, making good use of giant trees such as sakura, zelkova, and ginkgo left over from the railway school days.
Surrounding the pond are 33-meter-long and 3-meter-wide trellises of wisteria and Chinese trumpet vine (Campsis grandiflora), which are a popular spot.
